Here you will find the answers to frequently asked questions about using and applying the NCL brand. If you can’t find the answer to your question here, please email brand@nclan.ac.uk
Are students allowed to use the NCL logo in their work?
Students are welcome to use the logo in their projects with the permission of a staff member. Students are encouraged to view and use the brand guidelines, and must adhere to the guidelines relating to the presentation of our logo.
The work should include a prominent statement that the work has been created by a student as part of their course.
Can I change the colour of the logo?
The logo must only be presented in black or white, and not colour.
Can I make suggestions regarding the brand and the templates?
We welcome all suggestions about the brand guidelines and our templates. Please email brand@nclan.ac.uk
I have stock / supplies bearing the old logo, do these need to be disposed of?
It is essential that all new materials purchased or produced use the new identity. Where appropriate, you may want to consider using up excess stock bearing the former interim identity for purposes that are less publicly visible, such as staff rooms.
During our transition phase, we understand a number of departments will have stock / supplies bearing the old logo. If you do, please contact brand@nclan.ac.uk and someone from the team will advise if you can continue to use it.
If you have stock / supplies bearing one of the legacy college logos, it is important the use of this stock is discontinued.
If you have stock / supplies bearing the first NCL logo and / or the Skillset for Life strapline, this also must be discontinued, or used for purposes that are less publicly visible such as staff rooms.
I would like to order new stock / supplies bearing the new logo. How do I do this?
For all new stock / supplies, including student uniforms which bear the college logo, please email brand@nclan.ac.uk in the first instance to ensure you are using the right logo.
I would like to get something designed – who can I talk to?
Please complete the design request form (staff access only)
What will happen if I don’t adhere to the brand guidelines?
Unfortunately, creating, ordering and distributing materials that do not adhere to the College brand guidelines will result in an instruction to remove the material, with the department responsible bearing the cost of reproduction.
Where can I get the Poppins font?

For anyone who wishes to be able to freely download the font onto other devices, you can do so by visiting Google Fonts.
